- A guided tour of the 2012 Honda CR-VThe Honda CR-V's popularity is not in question. Consistently one of the best-selling (if not THE best-selling) compact SUVs year in and year out, the CR-V has also been a steady reviewer favorite. At the end of 2011, the latest iteration of this model landed in showrooms. We spent some time with it ourselves, and can say without hesitation that the CR-V […]
- Why you shouldn't diet like a celebrityWhile researching our report on the best weight-loss programs, we learned that the key to keeping weight off is making sustainable, long-term changes. - House plants you can't killEven with the pleasantly warm weather this week in New York City (thanks global warming), it's hard not to long for a little green right about now. - A new and (p)interesting way to shop onlineJust a year ago when I was moving into my first apartment, my cousin sent me an invite to a site she thought could help me shop for my new digs: Pinterest. - Are you buying a big-screen TV for the big game?Over the years, the Super Bowl has grown from just being a game for all the marbles at the end of the NFL season to a near-universal day of celebration and parties that even non-fans can enjoy. - Hands-on with four good, cheap new carsI get to drive a lot of different cars throughout the year, and they run the gamut from Powerball-winner hardware to basic, affordable transportation. - Can you trust online reviews? The issue of fake user reviews is nothing new. We blogged about it back in 2009 after a Wall Street Journal article exposed the practice by certain companies of having employees post favorable write ups to user-review sites, such as Amazon.com. - DOT tries to put the "fair" in airfare pricingEarlier this week I booked a flight from New York to Miami. Even though JetBlue only flies to the nearby Fort Lauderdale, I couldn't pass up the advertisement in an e-mail sent to me: Book Today, $89 each way from JFK. When I went online to look up fares, I did not see that fantastic rate; instead the fares were through the roof with the flights I want […]

I ordered this stroller on a Tuesday and received it on Friday… in Hawaii!!! I haven’t used it yet but took it out of the box. The seat is very soft. I really like that the seat reclines all the way back. It folds easy. And, the canopy actually covers the baby’s head. I can’t wait to get it out on the sidewalk.
I ordered directly from Amazon – they shipped to me in Hawaii when no one else would & the price was very competitive to others but I got FREE shipping. Excellent shipping time from Amazon. I’ll update more after I actually use the stroller.

I spent hours and hours researching strollers (more than I’ve ever spent researching cars, I’m sure). I FINALLY decided on the Baby Jogger City Classic, and I’m so glad I did. It turns on a dime. The umbrella is unbelievable. The folding mechanism is fast and easy. It’s compact. The handle is height adjustable! And, best of all, my little girl sits up straighter than she would in most jogging-style strollers. She’s nearly completely upright. The harness is infinitely adjustable, and fit fairly well even when she was smaller (we’ve had it since about 6 months). It wasn’t as snug as her infant car seat harness, but I’m only strolling on gravel or tromping through a park – I’m not a jogger – so I don’t feel this is a problem for us.
As for the durability of this stroller… well, my husband (accidentally) left it behind my Jeep Cherokee one night and the next morning I backed over it. Aside from a few scratches, I really think that, had the wheels been off of it, it would still be usable (the centers of the wheels broke out – everything else is intact). It really doesn’t seem to have sustained more than a few bumps and bruises. We purchased another stroller, just in case, but I was truly impressed that it can sustain that kind of abuse and still one complete stroller instead of a bunch of pieces.
It doesn’t come with cup holders, but neither do most higher-end European strollers, and it’s not a problem to buy a separate accessory. The basket and seat-back storage provide enough space for our needs when we use this stroller; if you’re shopping and want to store packages, I’d suggest a big, full-size stroller. My only real complaint is that there isn’t a way to secure the stroller when it’s collapsed; it folds in half, and there’s no way to keep the halves from wanting to separate some. I think this could be an easy at-home fix with a Velcro strap if I’m ever that motivated. Overall, I’d recommend it to my friends and even recommend skipping the traditional stroller system. Here’s why:
* It is no heavier than a full-size stroller.
* It’s actually less awkward to handle than a full-size stroller and takes up less space in my car
* it is car seat compatible (though not with my Chicco KeyFit 30)
* it’s able to tackle any terrain
* The maneuverability is unbeatable (ever try a full-size stroller in a cramped store or changing room?)
* As for child size, it may be the only stroller you need (up to 75 pounds!)
* The umbrella offers COMPLETE protection from the sun
* The swivel front wheel – I wouldn’t have any other type (and it locks)
I love my Cortina, but I would not hesitate to trade it for another Baby Jogger.
